Game
Using an online quiz for assessment

Kahoot allows to test various aspects of language such as vocabulary, understanding of grammar concepts (eg. When do we use past simple?) and linguistic concepts (eg. What is an independent clause?). Kahoot also allows to test language skills across all levels as each question could be set as a picture thus allowing for simple vocabulary recognition at A1 or supported by a picture (eg. testing of homophones at B2+). You can also use youtube videos for your questions (fragments also possible as timing can be set) which allows for testing listening skills. Each quiz game can be set as public, thus allowing for synchronous use in multiple locations. If used as part of informal assessment, it could implement as a follow-up to Quizlet self-study. Unfortunately, only multiple choice type of questions is possible; however, each question can have more than one correct answer.
