Sabine Egger (MA, Cologne; PhD, Humboldt University of Berlin) is a Lecturer in German Studies at Mary Immaculate College, University of Limerick. Having published widely on questions of identity/alterity and inter-/transculturalism in German literature and digital media, as well as on translation, her research interests also include CLIL and intercultural education in the FL classroom. She has participated in and coordinated several internet projects in the area of German Studies. Sabine Egger has been the Joint Chair of the German Studies Association of Ireland (2011-15) and the co-founder and coordinator of the Irish Centre for Transnational Studies (ICTS).
