Digital literacies for language development

Françoise Blin is the elected President of the European Association for Computer Assisted Language Learning (EUROCALL) and co-editor of ReCALL, the journal of the association published by Cambridge University Press. She has been a CALL researcher and practitioner for over 30 years and has widely published in the area, more specifically on the applications of Activity Theory to CALL research and design. She is teaching French at Dublin City University, where she currently leads a team of developing researchers and practitioners working on various aspects of CALL, including the integration of Virtual Worlds (e.g., Second Life) and videoconferencing in the language classroom. Her more recent project focuses on the development of digital literacies for language teachers and learners.
