Caitríona is a lecturer in LIT Tipperary where she has lectured and been involved in course development since 1999. She completed a BA in Irish and French in UCD, and Maitrîse ès Lettres Modernes in Université Rennes 2, Haute Bretagne. Her PhD examined sociolinguistics, and the acquisition of French and of Irish. Her research interests include immersion education, language learning in a study-abroad context, the sociolinguistics of multilingual contexts, and the integration of IT in language learning. Caitríona is a former committee member of AFLS, AFA, ALFIT and ACSI.
