Dr Alicia Castillo Villanueva is a Lecturer in Spanish at Dublin City University. Her research revolves around the analysis of discourses of power and identity and translation and conflict in contemporary Spain. She has developed several e-learning modules on writing skills and language and technology. Alicia also delivered various workshop and seminars on teaching methodology and the use of literature in the FL classroom. In 2008 she coordinated the I Post Primary Initiative Training Course for teachers of Spanish funded by the Ministry of Education of Ireland.
